Last night's opening went very well and everyone thoroughly enjoyed Caomhán Mac Con Iomaire's talk on the National Gallery of Ireland. Councillor Michael Fitzgerald opened the festival, thanking our sponsors for all their support and Melanie Scott from the Tipperary Arts Office. Yvonne Edmonds's work was very well received and she has been putting up the exhibition in the library today.
A busy day with workshops in the Day Care Centre with Sarah O'Connor and in The Create Café with Cher Gleeson. People are coming to the drop in sessions 10am-11am and 1.30pm-2.30pm and also to see the birds the second class students from the Cashel Primary Schools made yesterday with Jackie Kennedy. The children were asked to imagine Cashel in the future - come and see what they thought Cashel should be like...
Scoil Aonghusa visited the café this morning and are returning tomorrow to take part in a drop in workshop in the morning. They loved the space and all the shapes and twinkly lights.
Everyone I speak to is looking forward to seeing Mrs Shakespeare this evening at the library. The event is booking up fast. Donal Ryan is almost booked out for tomorrow night at the library.
