The Rock of Cashel
The Rock of Cashel has been undergoing restoration works since 1974. The continuing works have been ongoing since the 1970s. Between the previous works on the Hall of the Vicar’s Choral and the works on Cormac’s Chapel, the Rock of Cashel has effectively remained covered in scaffolding for 22 of the past 40 years. The scaffolding came down from the site in 2017 and for the first time in 40 years, the Rock of Cashel will be seen in its full glory from all sides.
