Cashel: Our Playground

Experience this year’s outreach project which culminates in a special installation. This exhibition showcases both the photographs of Mark Fitzell and audio recordings of people’s memories by actor Eoin Gleeson. Prepare to be taken back in time and experience all the ways that people have lived, worked, and played in Cashel through the years.

Portrait photographer and Cashel native Mark Fitzell is probably best known for his ‘Many Faces of Cashel’ project, where for the last decade he has been photographing and interviewing the people of Cashel. This project has to date produced over 350 photos with 5 volumes of books, an exhibition, and an appearance on RTÉ One’s Nationwide.

Eoin Gleeson is an Irish actor known for his roles in The Woman in the Wall (2023) and The Tourist S2 (2024). Eoin previously trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. Since 2020, Eoin has been working in Dublin, both in theatre and television. He is originally from Cashel, Tipperary.
