Born and raised in the Aran Islands Gaeltacht, his Celtic, folk and contemporary sound carries the deep influence of a place that has long nurtured great Irish writers and artists.
An RTÉ Folk Music Awards nominee, Padraig was hailed by Hot Press as one of Ireland’s best emerging songwriters. His song ‘Making Sand’ spent four weeks at Number 1 on the RTÉ Radio 1 Airplay Chart and earned him a nomination for Best Original Song at the RTÉ Folk Awards, firmly establishing him as one of Ireland’s finest contemporary songwriters in both languages.
