Festival Opening

Join us for this year’s festival and visual arts programme opening with Dr. Martin Worthington. Dr. Worthington is the Al-Maktoum Associate Professor in Middle Eastern Studies at Trinity College Dublin. He specialises in Ancient Near Eastern languages and literatures, and is currently battling with a book on the logic of the Cuneiform script. Martin will give an introductory talk for Gilgamesh.

Curator, art historian and writer Catherine Marshall will launch our Visual Arts Program and give a short introduction to this year’s visual artists. Ms. Marshall is a Former Head of Collections at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (1995 -2007), has lectured at TCD, UCD and the NCAD and has curated exhibitions all over Ireland, China, the USA, Canada and Britain.
