Lisa Hannigan is a versatile Irish folk singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and voice actor, whose solo musical career has spanned 17 years. Hannigan released her debut album, “Sea Sew” in 2008, which earned her nominations for a Choice award in Ireland and a Mercury Music Prize in the UK. Since then, Lisa has released “Passenger” (2011), centred around the pain of leaving and the sense of apartness consequent to a life spent in constant motion, and “At Swim” (2016), a bewitching album where she handles darkness with empathy and directness that can only come with experience. Both albums saw huge critical acclaim in Ireland and the United States. 2019 saw the release of a live album with the contemporary classical orchestra, stargaze. The collaboration, “Live in Dublin” – which sees Hannigan’s sparse, ethereal folk transformed into something cinematic and transfixing – has been taken to select festivals across Europe, and most recently graced the stages of London’s Barbican and Dublin’s National Concert Hall.

Support Act: Between//Roads
Warming up for Lisa Hannigan is Between//Roads. Formed in 2018, Between//Roads have been recording and performing at every opportunity they get. Their sound is built around earworm melodies, three-part harmonies, ephemeral guitar lines and a driving rhythm section.
Between//Roads are a five-piece indie-folk band from Meath and Dublin. In July 2019 they released their debut EP ‘All Who Wander’ that was met with great responses. The title track of the EP garnered airplay across the country and landed the band with several successful support slots upon its release.
On April 28th 2024, Between//Roads released their latest single, ‘Got Away’. Got Away, contrary to its title, is not so much about moving on from something, but instead, about what emerges in the creative exploration leading back to it.
The band has been busy gathering a fanbase throughout Ireland and playing anywhere from Dublin to Tipperary including in Whelans, Dublin on July 12th 2024.
