Seán Laffey is editor of the internationally acclaimed Irish Music Magazine (since 1997) “In that time I’ve reviewed hundreds of CDs, and each month there’s always one song that piques my curiosity, I just have to dig deeper into its background.”
“The Story Behind The Song” is an enhanced collection of 80 of those eponymous IMM features, with suggested chords for guitar players and selected discographies of some iconic and definitive versions. It also comes with a 15-track download album.
At this timely book launch, Seán will share this passion, recount anecdotes and play some of the tracks. Join in and sing-along and accompany him on his mandolin (words supplied) in a few pieces.
