As part of the 2025 Cashel Arts Festival Primary Schools Outreach Programme, we are proud to continue our commitment to engaging young minds through creativity. This year, we collaborated with local primary schools on a special project led by Cashel-based artist and designer Lisa Manton.
Students from local primary schools took part in hands-on lantern-making workshops held in their schools during May and June. These workshops not only fostered artistic expression but also offered a valuable opportunity for children to engage with the arts in a fun, inclusive, and meaningful way. The lanterns they created will be showcased in our enchanting Parade of Light on Friday, September 12th, lighting up the streets and setting the tone for the festival’s opening night.
Artistic outreach with schools is a cornerstone of our festival, helping to nurture creativity, build confidence, and strengthen community ties. Through projects like this, we aim to inspire the next generation of artists and dreamers right here in Cashel.
