As part of Cashel Arts Festival’s ongoing commitment to outreach and arts engagement, we were delighted to welcome Kate Mitchell to deliver a series of circus workshops throughout June for local schools and community groups. Through fun and interactive circus skills sessions, participants explored creativity, teamwork, confidence and movement in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Alongside the schools programme, Kate also facilitated workshops with clients of the IPAS Centre and Cashel Daycare Centre, bringing the joy and energy of circus arts to participants of all ages and backgrounds. These workshops reflected the festival’s belief that access to the arts should be open, welcoming and accessible to everyone in the community.

Kate Mitchell is a circus artist specialising in hula hoop and aerial arts, with a strong passion for youth and community arts engagement. Her work highlights the power of circus to inspire creativity, confidence and inclusion.

Festival audiences will have the opportunity to join Kate for a lively Circus Skills Workshop on Friday 11th September during the festival, offering children and young people another chance to experience the joy and creativity of circus arts firsthand. Kate will have workshops at 6.15 – 7pm and again at 7.15 – 8pm
